The regeneration of Spon End by Citizen Housing is transforming outdated poor-quality housing into a modern, sustainable and community-focused neighbourhood.
I was happy to join Citizen Housing Group and other key local stakeholders like Mayor Richard Parker to visit the site and see how works are progressing. We spoke about the importance of providing affordable housing, so I’m glad that the new development will deliver at least 261 affordable homes to our residents.
The project supports the government’s priorities on decent homes, net zero, and levelling up by delivering energy-efficient, safe, and accessible housing. It is also a long-awaited and much-needed investment in the community, and I look forward to seeing how the works progress.
