Delighted to attend the Ulster GAA event in Parliament — celebrating what is one of the greatest amateur sporting organisations in the world. With over 80,000 players and a dedicated volunteer base, the GAA continues to thrive.
Over the past four years, youth membership in Britain has grown by an impressive 28%, a testament to the organisation’s commitment to inclusiveness, wellbeing, and community identity. These values are the foundation of the GAA’s enduring success.
It was great to speak with a representative about St Finbarr’s in Coventry North West (@stfinbarrscovgaa) – which he described as one of the best grounds in the country – what a point of pride for the local community! I look forward to supporting the continued growth of our local GAA clubs and the positive impact it brings to our city.
