This week, I had the pleasure of enjoying a delicious lunch at Cassilex Café in Holbrooks, Coventry — and I can’t recommend it enough. The café is marking its 15-year anniversary this year, a milestone that reflects not just its success, but its deep roots in the local community.
From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. It’s not just a place to grab a bite — it’s a space where people feel at home. Families are especially well catered for, with a child-friendly setup and a menu that offers something for everyone. And yes, the milkshakes are amazing!
Cassilex Café has recently undergone a refurbishment, giving the space a fresh, modern feel while keeping its cosy charm. But what really stands out is its longevity. In a time when many small businesses struggle to survive, Cassilex has remained a constant — a familiar face on the high street, a trusted spot for lunch, and a place where generations of residents have gathered.
Long-standing businesses like Cassilex Café are the backbone of our communities. They offer more than just products or services — they provide stability, local jobs, and a sense of identity. They’re places where people connect, where stories are shared, and where local culture thrives. Supporting them means investing in the character and resilience of our neighbourhoods.
It’s inspiring to see Cassilex Café thriving after 15 years, and I hope many more are still to come. If you’re in Holbrooks, pop in for a meal, a coffee, or just a chat — and celebrate a business that’s been serving Coventry with heart for over a decade.
