I had a fantastic visit to Holbrooks Community Care Association this summer to see firsthand the brilliant work they’ve been doing to bring joy, creativity, and connection to local families.
Their Summer Fun Thursdays were a true highlight — packed with engaging activities for children and families, including reading sessions, storytime, arts and crafts, LEGO building, board games, and much more. The energy was infectious, and it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully planned to create a welcoming and inclusive space.
Holbrooks Community Care Association continues to be a cornerstone of support in the area, offering everything from family activities and digital skills sessions to advice services and a community café. Their commitment to strengthening local ties and providing safe, accessible spaces for residents of all ages is truly inspiring.
A huge thank you to the staff, volunteers, and organisers who made Summer Fun Thursdays such a success. Your work is helping to build a stronger, more connected Holbrooks — and it was a joy to see it in action.
