Visited Park Leys Medical Practice to Discuss Healthcare Pressures in Growing Keresley Community

7 September 2025

As part of my ongoing work to support local services, I recently visited Park Leys Medical Practice in Keresley to meet with Dr Jerry Horn and Claire Underhill. Our conversation focused on the growing pressures facing the practice as the local population continues to expand due to new housing developments in the area.

Park Leys Medical Practice plays a vital role in delivering healthcare to residents in Keresley and surrounding communities. But as demand increases, it’s essential that infrastructure and resources keep pace. Dr Horn and Claire shared their concerns about capacity, staffing, and the strain on existing services — all of which could impact patient care if not addressed.

I’ll be raising the points discussed with both the Integrated Care Board and Coventry City Council, to ensure that the needs of the practice and its patients are fully considered in future planning. We must explore what can be done to support the practice.

As Keresley grows, so must our commitment to maintaining high-quality, accessible healthcare. I’m grateful to the team at Park Leys for their openness and dedication, and I’ll continue working to ensure residents receive the care they deserve.
