Supporting Residents with Energy Costs and Local Services with E.ON

2 April 2026

Many residents across Coventry North West are continuing to feel the pressure of rising energy costs and the challenge of accessing local services. Supporting households through the cost of living crisis remains one of my top priorities.

As part of this work, I recently met with E.ON to discuss how their local initiatives are helping residents manage energy bills and improve long-term sustainability.

This includes:

  • Improving energy efficiency in homes, helping households reduce ongoing costs
  • Installing solar panels in local schools, including St Christopher’s, to support greener energy use
  • Working in partnership with Citizen Housing to support residents facing affordability challenges

This kind of local partnership working is essential. It not only helps bring down bills in the short term but also invests in sustainable energy solutions that will benefit our community for years to come.

There has also been some welcome short-term relief, with a 7% reduction in the energy price cap from yesterday. However, global pressures continue to affect energy markets, and prices may still fluctuate. That is why I will continue working with partners like E.ON and pressing the Government to ensure more support is available for both households and businesses.

Alongside this, improving access to local support services is just as important. I want to make sure residents know what help is available and how to access it.

If you are struggling with your energy bills or would like more information about the support available, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with my office.
