Neurodiversity & Neurodevelopmental Needs

I am committed to ensuring that neurodivergent individuals and those with neurodevelopmental conditions receive the support they deserve. Whether you need guidance on accessing assessments, finding local services, or understanding your rights, I am here to help. Below, you’ll find links to organisations in Coventry and the surrounding region that offer specialist advice, peer support, and mental health resources for neurodivergent individuals and their families. An e-blooklet by Coventry & Warwickshire Integrated Care System with information for neurodiverse people and their families which aims to bring together the different information and advice offered locally. 

The Neurodevelopmental Service within Rise was created to support neurodivergent children and young people and their families. They provide diagnostic assessment for autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). They also have useful information and resources on their webpages.

Coventry & Warwickshire Partnership Trust’s Neurodevelopmental Service – providing an assessment and diagnostic service for Autism and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

Community Autism Support Service (CASS) is provided by Coventry and Warwickshire Mind (pre assessment or post diagnostic). The service can provide one-to-one or group support for children and their families. The service can help children, young people and families with setting goals related to management of the young person’s neurodevelopmental needs and achieving them to improve the lived experience of the child.

The service also supports adults – providing one-to-one support, peer support groups (self-referral) and an education programme.

Act for Autism is a social enterprise that provides unique insights about autism via specialist workshops and coaching for parents, carers and teachers, autistic children and young adults. They have an Instagram page where you can find out about their webinars and a YouTube channel with lots of useful videos

Mind (Coventry and Warwickshire) Vibes youth clubs are for young people that have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition, who live in Coventry and are aged between 7 and 18.

Referral needs to be made by a professional working with the child or young person.

Warwickshire Parent Carer Voice (WPCV) is a voluntary group of parent carers with a lived understanding of how challenging accessing the right services and receiving a good level of support can be when raising a child with additional needs and / or disabilities. Their aim is to gather the voices of Warwickshire parent carers and let these be heard to ensure that services meet the needs of our children and our families. Their meetings are mostly virtual.
