Currently 1 in 7 primary schools in the UK don’t have a library. Last week I attended the National Literacy Trust and Penguin Books’ event to learn about their ‘Libraries for Primaries’ campaign which is looking to solve this issue.
Reading is so important to children’s development – not just from a literacy perspective, but also in that it helps children to develop their imagination and understanding of the world!
