A big thank you to everyone who came along to our local CLP picnic! It was wonderful to spend time together, enjoy the sunshine, and have meaningful conversations in such a relaxed and friendly setting. The event was a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow members, share ideas, and celebrate the dedication of our local activists. 🌹
For those who may not be familiar, a CLP (Constituency Labour Party) is the local branch of the Labour Party in your area. It plays a key role in connecting members with their MP, campaigning on local issues, supporting national policies, and helping shape the future of the party from the grassroots level. Events like this picnic are a perfect way to see the CLP in action and meet the people behind the work that strengthens our community.
I’m always grateful for the hard work, passion, and commitment of our local members – it was truly lovely to see so many of you come together, share stories, and enjoy the day in good company. These moments remind us of the power of local engagement and the difference that motivated volunteers can make.
If you’re interested in getting involved, there are many ways to join your local CLP. You can attend meetings, take part in community events, volunteer on campaigns, or help organise local initiatives. Being part of a CLP is a fantastic way to have your voice heard, meet like-minded people, and make a real difference in your community.
