Share your experience of GP services in Coventry North West

Access to GP services is one of the issues raised most often by residents in Coventry North West. While there have been national efforts to increase GP appointments and reduce waiting times, it’s important to understand how these changes are being felt locally and where challenges remain. That’s why I want to hear directly from residents about their experiences of GP services in Coventry North West.

Why this GP services survey matters

GP services are often the first point of contact for healthcare, and when access is difficult or care feels rushed, it can have a real impact on people’s health and wellbeing. National statistics don’t always reflect what patients experience day to day, so local feedback is essential. This survey is an opportunity for residents to share what’s working well, what isn’t, and where improvements are needed so GP services can deliver timely, high-quality care for everyone in our community.

Understanding local GP services in Coventry North West

Coventry North West has a diverse population with varying health needs. Experiences of GP services can differ widely depending on where you live, which practice you use, and your individual circumstances. By gathering feedback from across the constituency, this survey will help build a clearer picture of how GP services are really performing on the ground in Coventry North West, beyond headline figures or averages.

What the survey will ask

The survey asks about patients’ experiences of using GP services, including access to appointments, waiting times, communication with practices, and overall satisfaction with care. Both positive and negative experiences are important, as they help identify what should be protected as well as what needs to change. All responses are anonymised, and the focus is on identifying common themes rather than individual cases.

How your feedback will be used

Once the survey has closed, the anonymised results will be analysed to identify key issues and patterns. The findings will then be shared with decision-makers to ensure local experiences are taken into account. The results will be shared with the Integrated Care Board (ICB), NHS leaders, the Primary Care Minister, and the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, so that the voices of residents in Coventry North West help inform future policy and decisions about GP services.

Next steps: continuing the conversation locally

Alongside the survey, I will be holding roundtable discussions across Coventry North West in the coming months. These sessions will provide further opportunities for residents to share their experiences in more detail and discuss what improvements they would like to see. The survey is the first step in an ongoing conversation about GP services locally.

Have your say on GP services

If you live in Coventry North West and use GP services, I encourage you to take part in the survey and share your experience. Your voice matters, and your feedback can help shape improvements to GP services in our area.
